To Tid,of Brisbane If you carefully reread my posting I have pointed out on an economic level and policies level why I will not be voting Labor. In addition I commented on The PM 's irritating personal habits , which I personally find intolerable to watch for the next 4 years if she is reelected. As most Labor supporters , you choose to skip over all the bad issues ( and Labor have had many ) Labor are essentially a big spending Govt, always have been. This is a well known fact. Liberal are on the ball when it comes to the economics of this country.
The Labor party are trying to deceive us into believing that Julia Gillard is ready for the job. Why else would they rush into an election when she has only been in the job for a few weeks. I would feel more able to judge her on her fitness for the job if they had gone to an election in 6 months time, but the Labor power brokers are making us choose now. Well, I will have no part of their sneaky little tricks. Richo is up to his old tricks, along with the unions manipulations.
The Labor Party has long campaigned on "Open and Honest " Government Well The desalination plant was a good example ,, noone knew a thing about it till it was announced to be going ahead ,, is that Open and Honest??? now we have a new rail plan with people losing their homes ,, once again ,, noone was informed,,,, and to top it all Julia has just announced that noone in her party cabinet is allowedto discuss what eventuates in their meetings !!!!! what have they got to hide ????? Open and Honest """ perhaps Julia and her associates should check the dictionary for the meaning of the words..!!!!!
I am heartily SICK of the Media delivering 'death by a thousand cuts' to our politicians, by way of snide inuendos, statements taken out of context, bad photos, etc, which have enormous power to colour peoples' opinions and sway the voting public one way or another. Why can't they just report the facts in a NON-partisan manner, without adding in their biased opinions and leave it up to the voting public to decide? Lets face it, anyone with half a brain could see that they did a real hatchet job on Kevin Rudd over the weeks leading up to his eventual political demise. Come on guys - play fair!
if Ms.Dillard is elected PM, i dont think she will be, i will feel so embarassed to be an Australia and to be looked on by other countries as a joke of an Australian. i have numerous friends overseas who honeslty think this Dillard-gate is laughable. If it wasnt so serious if would be that this women could in a civilsed country overthrow a homegrown PM with the backing of pure thuggery from Labour powerbrokers puppet masters. She would driver our country into the ground with the orders from her masters, not to mention the lack of values and morals and a cherry on top of dishonestly. How can people honestly think this person could move this country forward. I've voted labour all my voting life and i will never give my vote to this party again. I dont want to vote for Abbott but i believe he is the lesser of 2 evils.
It's so obvious a very well-known and well-respected political reporter adored Kevin Rudd and was so shattered at his dumping that he wants JG to pay for it. I may not agree with the way it was done either, but I'm fast losing respect for the political reporter for showing his bias. I would like to tell him to build a bridge and get over it!
With Tony Abbot, what you see is what you get. I doubt whether he has the capacity for double dealing or hidden agendas. In fact, as a politician he is too honest!! With Julia Gillard, I think Kevin Rudd should have uttered the words "Et tu Brute." Deception, lies, promises, vows...we have heard them before from all and sundry. However, I think it is time for change - Labour hasn't always been the best for any country. Please let the country know the source of those millions of dollars which Labour is "offering" on the eve of an election. It is insulting to be addressed in patronising tones and all this new-found geniality really rings so false - in fact, where was all this outgoing friendliness and warmth before? "Moving forward" points in one direction only - to attainment of the "Parliamentary Crown." Good luck to you, Tony.
I think everyone should take a bit of time to remember what the Howard government(Liberals) did for this country and how bad things got and that's why we voted Labor Government in..to change things. All politicians lie and always will Howard swore he wouldn't introduce the GST remember and what happened?then we were told our troops would be coming home soon and now it's extended for more years etc etc etc...People wake up all politicians LIE it dose not matter who we elect were going to get lies and promises that are not kept anyway, You just have to decide who's lies you want to believe.I just wish we would one day get someone that would step up and run this country for the people and not for the the glory, someone who really knows what is going on in the people's real world and have enough compassion and conviction to stand up for us and let us be able to live in our country with dignity as Australians not as a Aussie Battlers.
If Julia wins this eletion it will only prove that it was a womans deciding vote why don't we just put a monkey in power what a joke.
anybody who claims the country is in some sort of irreparable state is a gullible fool who has been suckered in by media sensationalism and also possibly hypnotised by tony abbot's dangling speedo-clad ***.
